A high-quality vinyl wrap installed by MH Tint Studio typically lasts between 3 to 5 years. This duration depends heavily on whether the vehicle is parked under shelter, exposed daily to extreme tropical sunlight, and how safely it is washed.

Do I need to inform JPJ if I change my car's color with a wrap?

Yes, under Malaysian JPJ regulations, if you change your vehicle's dominant color via wrapping, you must declare the color change at any JPJ branch by submitting the JPJ K3 form to update your vehicle registration details within 7 days of the color change.

Can a vinyl wrap hide dents, rust, or deep paint chips?

No, vinyl wrap is incredibly thin and acts like a second skin. It conforms perfectly to the surface underneath, meaning any deep scratches, stone chips, rust bubbles, or dents will actually show more clearly after the wrap is applied. Surfaces must be smooth before wrapping.

Is it safe to wash a wrapped car at an automatic drive-through car wash?

We strongly advise against automatic mechanical car washes. The aggressive spinning nylon brushes can scratch the vinyl, catch on edge seams, and cause premature peeling. Gentle hand washing with a soft microfiber mitt is the best way to clean your wrap.
